Vickburg is a small city with much to offer and one of the best places in Vicksburg is the Attic Gallery. Much of the art is by local artists. The works available range from sophisticated, thoughtful contemporary pieces to carefully selected folk art. The gallery is upstairs above the local coffee shop, which has the best coffee in town plus free wifi and a congenial atmosphere and just happens to be owned by the gallery owner's husband. My friend and I browsed for an hour and each ended up selecting a painting. We felt that we were not just buying art, but stories of the artists that made the pieces even more fun and meaningful.
Friendly stall with some nice pieces. I liked their pottery in particular. It's also located right above my favorite coffee shop in Vicksburg, which makes both these places well with the stop. I picked up some ceramic pendants and will have to head back soon to check if they've added anything new.
