I love this place! Good food and service. Quaint.
Around a year ago I ate lunch here with a colleague. I had the Cuban sandwich and potato chips. It was quite good and the service was great. I just left this place with my wife and three young kids after being extremely disappointed with my return visit. It started with them sitting us in an essentially dark room away from other patrons. I had the Memphis Cheeseburger and I opted to get the pan fries instead of potato chips. I was charged $3, the full price of the pan fries even though I did not get any potato chips with my cheeseburger. The pan fries were six slices of potato 1/4 inch thick that were seriously undercooked. They were not remotely crispy and would have been better served with a fork and a patty of butter to make mashed potatoes. The cheeseburger was dried out so I requested extra barbecue sauce to add moisture. That cost 50 cents for a tablespoon of barbecue sauce. Our waitress brought a ketchup bottle that was empty after a single squirt. When I requested a ketchup bottle with something inside of it she indicated they were running out of ketchup! Our waitress did not offer to get us a drink other than the bottle of water that was served on the table. She was marginally attentive at best. As we were walking out the doot, what I guess might have been the owner started talking with us. She indicated there were toys for the children. We told her our children saw them but we did not know if they could use them. Overall, this second experience was a real disappointment.
Has a diverse menu from the classic Reuben sandwich to a Cuban. Excellent gazpacho soup and a good bar.
Good selection of beer, great food, and fantastic staff.
