I bought a mattress and sofa set back in Oct. 2015. I was told the love seat would take a couple of weeks to get in stock. No later than Nov. It was finally delivered in January after months of excuses as to why it was late. First it was because it wasn't ordered. Then it was because they were out of the fabric.
Now the mattress is sagging. I was told I could come in and they would give me store credit. Seeing as how I still need a bed I was going to trade up for a better mattress set, and they conveniently had some on sale. I had picked out the mattress I wanted, paid for the whole thing, and arranged for a truck to be available to pick it up. After my last experience with Marcus delivering the furniture I certainly didn't want to wait. After about 20 minutes of waiting for them to bring the mattress out, the employee informs me they no longer have that mattress in stock. My solution would have to been sell me the exact same mattress that now comes in a different color. Other than the color there is no difference. That couldn't be done. They tried to push me off on a different mattress that was still on sale, but not in the firmness I had chosen. I was unwilling to take a different, less comfortable mattress.

My family moved to Vicksburg about 16 years ago. We noticed the Marcus Furniture storefront while driving down Washington St. in downtown Vicksburg one day, soon after moving in. Over the years, we've purchased several mattress sets, couches, rugs, and recliners from them. I highly recommend this family-run business! They have always been helpful, polite and informative. They have free delivery & set-up, & will remove your old furniture if needed. The furniture we've purchased has held up well, and they carry nationally recognized brands. I hope they stay in business for many more years!!
I gave 2 stars on their facebook page since the couch and love seat are still comfortable despite the fabric on the underside sagging; however, here I will give them 1 star since my post hidden nearly immediately. Not that they contacted me to rectify the situation, but just swept it under the rug.
I left the store with the promise that the transaction would be voided. It is still showing on my credit card statement, and now I will have to go through the trouble of calling to dispute the charges.
My suggestion to future buyers not familiar with the area to buy furniture from Miskelly in Jackson and pay for the delivery fee. It was $100 back when I was looking for furniture, and I didn't want to pay it then. I have put in too much time and effort to get what I paid for from Marcus, and will furnish the rest of my home from other businesses gladly paying delivery fees.
